"Factfulness" is foundational to who we are as Christians. The fact is that Jesus practiced and taught inclusive love. We are to love all. We live in an age of fake news where people want us to believe that black is white. We also live with old assumptions about the world and reality.
To demonstrate this, we had a little test on world social and health knowledge from the book Factfullness by Hans Rosling. The author demonstrates to us that old knowledge, that is not connected to the reality is often presented to us. When the real facts come into play, the situation and understanding changes and deepens. We have a change of heart and attitude. In our day to day lives as Christians, we must be aware of the reality of the world and the social conditions within which we are called to live and proclaim God's love as understood by Jesus.
The world is doing better. It is not super violent and the message of inclusion is getting through. We do not have to look backwards to some old "golden age" of faith. he best times are now. It is our ministry with God's help to expand the action and message of love which is light in dark places.
