The Road to Emmaus is a famous scripture. We often forget that it is in giving thanks, the disciples discovered the Resurrected Jesus. Simple or complex prayers over meals connect us to all who made our food and with God who generously creates and skills us. It also helps us realize that we must work to preserve the wonderful planet that God created and called us to manage and sustain.
It is in prayer and its Spiritual energy we find Jesus Alive in us. I invite you to a simple before meal prayer often called "Grace" which means love.
